Mr. Wilkerson was an imposing teacher as he stood like a sentry outside his drafting classroom in the Technical Wing of Lakeport High School during my time there in the late 1960’s. Always quick to point out rather loudly that my shirt be tucked in, he was in my opinion firm but fair to all students. His drafting classroom was quiet, efficient but rather boring to an Automotive technical student of 16 and 17, but his training remains with me to this day at my age of 72. Isn’t that the mark of a good teacher? R.I.P. Sir … and thank you.
