Obituary of Marion Frances Puckett

Marion Frances Puckett, 83, of Welland Ontario Canada, passed away, peacefully, on May 27, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. The family will receive friends at George Darte Funeral Chapel at 585 Carlton St, St. Catharines, Ontario Canada on Friday June 21, from 10am-12pm with a service to follow at noon in the chapel.

Marion was born in Camberwell Green, SE London, UK on February 13, 1941. She graduated from Albany Road grammar school and moved to Canada in the summer of 1968. Marion was predeceased by her husbands Terry in 1986, and David in 2017. Marion owned and operated Camberwell Equestrian Centre in the Niagara Peninsula. For over 40 years she taught thousands of youth in Niagara the joy of horseback riding. She herself enjoyed riding horses, all manner of animals, traveling, visits to the casino and spending time with her many friends of many years.

Marion is survived by her sons Ian(Tanya) and Kevin (Lisa), grandchildren Meaghan (Brandon), Eli, Sarah and Thomas, great grandson August and her siblings Violet, Johnny, Billy, Richard, and Janice. Marion is predeceased by her sisters Linda and Susan.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Juravinski Cancer Center in Hamilton. The family of Marion wishes to thank Dr. Graeme Fraser and the staff and nurses for their support and compassionate bedside manner.
