Obituary of Margaret Esther Deprez

DEPREZ , Margaret "Peggy" Esther (nee Wilson) On Friday, November 2nd, 2012 at the SCGH, our beautiful Mother (Peggy) peacefully slipped away with family by her side at the age of 79. Predeceased by her loving husband Rene (2009), her infant daughter Colleen and her parents Patrick and Margaret Wilson. Beloved Mother of Oscar (Val), Maria (Jim), Patricia (Paul), Bernadette (Earl), Rene Jr., Paul (Vicky) and Siobhan (Rick). Loving Nannie of Michael (Jen), Kelly (Mike), Amii (Adrian), Julie (Andy), Andrea (Daniel), Amanda (Seth), Scott, Colin, Cassidy, Nadine, Meghan, Kiara, Benjamin and Jenna. Treasured Great Nannie and Big Hennie to Ethan, Dawson, Lauren, Alex, Silas, Madison and Bastien. Mom will be greatly missed by Doretta Smith a loving angel who cared for Mom daily over the past three years. Peggy is survived by her loving sister Nancy Murphy in Ireland, sister-in-law Claire Deprez Daix (Andre) in Belgium, loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews in Ireland and Belgium. Mom was a founding member of The Irish Club of St. Catharines. Mom was a great supporter of the Bryan School of Irish Dancing, as well as Entry Secretary extraordinaire of St. Catharines Feis and many others. Mom sang with the Irish Club and the Folk Arts Choir,s and was a member of St. Alfred's Church. Peggy's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, November 6th from 7-9pm and Wednesday, November 7th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street on Thursday, November 8th at 11am. The Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home on Wednesday at 8pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Parkinson Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
