MIELE, Barbara Irene “Barb”
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Wife, Mother, Sister and Friend, on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 30 years, Gennaro “Gerry”, and by her children Christopher, Stephen and Julia. She is the loving sister of Gladys Dorst, Jane Becker, Mary (Paul) Chris and Peter (Veronica Pytlak) and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is pre deceased by her parents Mary and Peter Baranek.
Barb was very successful in her job. She worked as an Executive Marketing Director for many locations including The Pen Centre, Atrium on Bay in Toronto, executive director for the City of St. Catharines Downtown Association and Eastgate Square Mall in Hamilton. She was also very active in the Polish community; she was Miss. Polonia in 1981 and dedicated many years volunteering in the community.
She leaves behind a legacy that will live on in her children’s lives forever.
Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. Catharines, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2022 and Monday, May 16, 2022 with Vigil Prayers on Sunday at 2 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 5 Oblate St., St. Catharines. Burial will be held at Victoria Lawn Cemetery following Mass. Memorial donations may be made to Stand up to Cancer Canada or to the Rankin Cancer Run
