Gerry, Stephen, and Julia, our family's sincere condolences. It has been a while since our kids last played together, but we had such good memories of Barbara being such a caring and loving wife and mother. Noah always enjoyed spending time over at your house with Stephen. Take care and comfort in this time of sorrow.

Barb, I’ve been in shock since I heard of your passing. I have known you for 40 years and our friendship never faltered. It didn’t matter that we lived In different Provinces or who we worked for. I will greatly miss your laughter and your honest feedback. You cared and thought of others and I always respected on how your family and friends were so important to you.

Shocked and saddened to learn of Barb's passing. My kids and I shared many, many fun outings with Barb and her kids after school. From visits to Happy Rolph's and Pearson Park to the many "play dates" Barb hosted at her home, her #1 concern was always that the kids were having a good time.
I will also miss periodically seeing her out for a walk in her neighborhood. Her bright smile and genuine, caring attitude will be sadly missed.

So very shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Barb. Working along side of her at Eastgate Square for over 10 yrs as she was the Marketing Director. My condolences to her entire family, her husband Gerry and her children, Christopher, Stephen and Julia. Barb, talked so fondly of her family and loved them dearly. When we would have meetings or staff meeting at Jack Astors' she would always order her NACHOS but wasnt just an order of the nachos... had to have special ordering - layer of cheese in between and extra green onion and chicken. We always knew what Barb was going to order "NACHOS". Sending love to the entire family. My thoughts are with you.

It was a pleasure to work with Barb at Eastgate for 5 years. She was energetic and passionate and her personality was so bright. I'm so sad and shocked to hear of her passing. The most lasting memory of her is how fondly she spoke about her family, she had so much love for all of you. Sending my condolences to her family and friends.

So saddened and shocked to hear of Barb’s passing. It was so apparent how proud Barb was of her children and how much she loved her family and my heart aches for you all. Worked with her for many years at Eastgate Square and she had so much enthusiasm in everything she did. I will always remember her trying to teach me how to polka in the reception area. I was exhausted but she could have gladly kept going. My sincere condolences to Gerry, Julia, Stephen and Christopher

Barb always greeted you with a smile and the warmest hug. She was a great source of positivity and had all the answers to the hardest mom questions. The love of her family was evident in all she said and did. Heaven has truly gained an Angel. She truly made the world a better place. Sending love and prayers to the Miele Family ❤️

Our friendship spans over 50 years with so much life well-lived…..these were the best of times. We treasure our memories of Barb as she brought endless joy, love, laughter, support and generosity to each of us and our families.
Our group was called “Zosia Girls” because it was our favourite polka. As President of the Polish-Canadian Youth club in the 70s and early 80s, she was responsible for organizing some of the best dances and cultural events at the Polish Hall on Facer St. We were always happy to help as her ‘executive committee’ and took our marching orders with pleasure as we knew she was the expert in organizing a fabulous event. Indeed, her backyard BBQs and family parties were unrivalled as she loved to celebrate with such flair with friends and relatives.
Of all of us, Barb had the best memory of past events and we called on her often for the exact details. Thankfully, she kept a journal in our teenage years that she would read (and we would laugh hysterically) at our birthday celebrations and vacations in Seven Springs, Vegas, NYC and it was likely to be packed for an upcoming Florida trip for our 60th birthday. We will miss her humour and uncanny ability to assess a situation or relationship and advise how to proceed.
She will always have a special place in our hearts and bring a smile to our faces. We will see her personality shine through her three wonderful children.
Our friendship chain is broken,
Nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
the link shall join again.
Thank you for being a friend!
Love from Zosias -
Barb, Cheryl, Nina, Charlene and Sue

To my dear Basia, You are my oldest and dearest friend. I cherish countless shared memories from our childhood growing up together in our little ethnic community on Highfield, and from our school days starting in kindergarten all the way through our high school years. I'll miss your sharp memory in recalling many of our childhood exploits. When I think of you, all I can see is your bright, beautiful smile and all I hear is your infectious laughter. I will always fondly remember your terrific wit and wonderful sense of humour. You have been taken from us all far too soon and we are heartbroken. Tom and I send our love and prayers to Gerry, Christopher, Stephen, Julia and to her sisters and brother and their families.
Your friend forever, Nina (Siconolfi ) White

A friendship that has spanned over 38 years , Barb was a colleague , client , friend & my sister from another mother
I still am unable to process this news, and I can’t even imagine the great void for Gerry & kids. We are so very sorry for your loss.
Barb and I chatted , texted at least monthly , from work related stories to family challenges & then some .
There are so many stories to share, her laughter rings in my ears. I know you always saw me as a mentor of sorts
You continued to remind me of such , but I felt I was the lucky one , in awe of how you handled yourself especially at work & home life . I will think of you often especially when I order a plate of Nachos or going for a swim , two of your most fav things. Rest In Peace my friend .Forever in my heart .

Dear Gladys, Jane. Mary, Peter, Gerry (and your respective families). I am writing to express my deepest condolences. Basia, was such a loyal and great friend to me during my childhood. She loved to laugh, she loved being your sister/wife/aunt/mother, and she loved figuring out the best way forward. These are the qualities that I most adored about her. Our lives went in different directions, but I always knew that I could reach out to her, on a moment's notice, if needed. To learn that she is no longer with us, is truly a shock. I thought that we had more time, and I am sure that you are all feeling the same, albeit more poignantly, I hope that are reaching out to whatever it is that brings you comfort in this time of sorrow. I will be thinking about you and sending strength as you work your way through the next few days and weeks. Love, Lucy
