Obituary of Reginald Raymond MacGregor

MacGREGOR, Reginald Raymond - Following a prolonged illness, we sadly announce that Reginald (Reg) passed away on Thursday 16 December 2021 at Greater Niagara General Hospital (Niagara Falls) with the comfort of family at his side. Reg was predeceased by his treasured and beloved wife Madeleine. Dear father of Laura and her husband Mikiya, David and his wife Kimberly. Big brother of Garry MacGregor and his wife Betty. Much loved Uncle of Gordon MacGregor (Evelyn), Glendon MacGregor (Jean). Loving Great Uncle to Ian, Sandra, Connor and Manius MacGregor. He will be greatly missed by family, neighbours and many dear friends. Reg was Principal for most of his career with the Lincoln County Board of Education. He was an active and passionate member of his community and enjoyed volunteer work with local & provincial elections, Rankin Run and Scout Camp. Reg loved music and sang in multiple choirs including St. Giles Presbyterian Church Choir, Niagara Men’s Chorus and Niagara Regional Police Male Chorus. Our many fondest memories with Dad include canoe, fishing and camping trips with family & friends, sailing on the Great Lakes, and sharing a fine single malt. Many thanks are extended to Heatherwood Retirement Residence for their excellent care & support, and to the incredible teams of nurses and doctors at St. Catharines General and Greater Niagara General Hospitals for their compassionate care of Reg and all of us. Reg will join his beloved Madeleine in his final resting place at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Council of the Blind – Mississauga VIP Chapter (CCBNational.net) or charity of choice.
