Derrick Arthur Simpson 

1937  – 2021

Derrick passed suddenly at St. Catharines General Hospital on January 5, 2021 at the age of 83. Loving husband to Gwen and “Papa” to Zadie. He is predeceased by his siblings, Win, Betty, Emily and Dorothy and was a cherished Uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Derrick will be deeply missed by his many family members from the United Kingdom and abroad.  Derrick was a man who loved life and lived it to its fullest. He and Gwen enjoyed traveling and made many memories from their trips to Vegas, England, Cuba, Porto Vallarta and Cancun. He was a person who loved a good game of cards or pool with his many friends. He and Gwen enjoyed their favourite table at Flamboro Downs to watch and cheer the “trotters”.  He loved nothing more (except Gwen and Zadie) than to get together with family and friends entertaining them with his humour and wit.  Derrick will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Arrangements have been entrusted to GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A funeral for Derrick will be held on Friday, August 6 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home ceremony room.
