Meredith. My sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. Although I only met her once or twice many years ago she was clearly a great lady. Ross Lamont

Dear Jackson family,
On behalf of the Stirling family, I wanted to express our deepest condolences on the passing of your mother, Margaret. I know our parents, Betsy and John, shared many wonderful times and memories with your parents during their days at Ontario Hydro. The devastating early death of your father shocked us all profoundly. So many years later, it was nice for Betsy to reconnect with your mother in St. Catharines. I remember meeting your Mom pool-side at the St. Catharines Golf & Country Club. Such a lovely lady.
Kind regards on behalf of Grant and David and families,
Jane Stirling

Dear Family of Herb and Marg Jackson,
My parents Bob & Mary Hewitt were friends of your parents. The crash of the corporate jet at Wabush/Churchill Falls was a staggering tragedy that reverberated on so many personal levels and presumably on economic stages also.
The accident happened just weeks before my wedding, so the timing has remained a poignant date.
You were all so young to have such terrible change forced upon you.
Even in our family we grieved. My parents made the conscious decision to stay in touch with the ‘widows of their business friends’. Hence your Mother became a life long family friend.
Recently with COVID extra time on my hands I sorted through old papers. There were notes from your Mother to my Mother. A lovely letter from “Marg” to “Mary” on Dad’s death mentioning how Dad had cared about Peter’s wellbeing after your Father was killed. Other notes about getting together in Naples Florida to play bridge etc etc.
My memories of your Mother are of her forthright presence, strong & tall. Straightforward in her speech. I did not see her often but she kindly wrote me a letter upon Mom’s death several years ago.
So I am writing to send my condolences and just to say the circles of kindness that people weave between each other are a wonderful aspect of life. My best thoughts to you. Susan Hewitt Henwood (Victoria B.C.)

Please accept our condolences for your families loss. Margaret was a well loved friend and neighbour on Renforth Square. Margaret taught me many things, through her smiles, kindness to others, tactful problem solving, love of life, and.. the list could go on. I can imagine Margaret driving off into eternity in her red convertible, wearing a straw hat. Always remembered by Jenny and Henry Cwalinski.
