Obituary of Tamara Tkaczuk
TKACZUK, Tamara September 29, 1960- June 1, 2020
The family of Tamara Tkaczuk is saddened to say that she lost her courageous twelve year battle with cancer on June 1, 2020. She fought with every fibre of her being, right until the end. Tamara leaves behind her mother Nadia, her sister Lydia, brother Orest, sister-in-law Lisa, nephew William and many aunts, cousins and friends. Tamara is predeceased by her father, John (2001).
Tamara touched many lives as a teacher in the Catholic School Board for 24 years. She worked as a union represenative for OECTA, volunteered/mentored with the Canadian Cancer Society, and served on the board of numerous local organizations, including Ukrainian Non-profit Homes and Ukrainian (St. Catharines) Credit Union. .
The family would like to send their sincere thanks to the people who supported her over the years: the numerous PSWs, nurse Charlene and especially Dr. Tozer at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, for all their support and compassion.
Cremation has taken place. Due to the current restrictions, a private family ceremony will take place on Saturday June 6, 2020 at 1:00PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Help Us Help https://helpushelp.charity/donate or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Due to the Ontario Health concerns, there are to be only 10 non-employees on the Funeral Home property at anytime by order of the Premier; all attendees must be 2 metres apart
