The Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) recently learned of Tamara's passing. Since 2016, Tamara was a member of the PFAC and volunteered her time to provide thoughtful insight and guidance on how to improve the patient and family experience. Her legacy will live on through her contributions to cancer programs and initiatives that her voice helped shape. On behalf of the PFAC, please accept sincere condolences.

I worked with Tamara at two schools, St. John and St. Alfred and played baseball with her. She was passionate about teachers rights, the needs of children and a very strong woman. Rest well Tamara you fought a good fight. May God keep you in his arms.

I attended the AGM with Tamara several times. I learned so much from her and she was so kind and always was there through all our socials, meetings, elections and strikes. She wasn't just a colleague but a friend. She will be dearly missed but live in our hearts forever. XO Tamara

Thinking of you at this sad time and wishing you comfort in the days ahead. Tamara was so supportive of St George’s Ukrainian parish kitchen- her baking- apricot and blueberry squares and butter tarts- for the Bazaars - her generosity will not be forgotten. May your memories and love help ease your sorrow. Helen Tkach

My condolences to the Tkaczuk family.
I taught with Tamara for a number of years at St. John school. She was a great co-worker, always sharing ideas. We had lots of laughs and adventures with the kids on field trips, at sporting events and during everyday school life. Tamara was always a dedicated teacher and a good friend.

My condolences to the entire Tkaczuk Family. Tamara was a true friend. The kind of friend that years would pass without seeing each other, then our paths would cross and our friendship would once again carry on from where we left off. From our younger years at Black Sea Hall, baseball, Ellenville, bowling to being reunited years later by Marty Campbell when all 3 of us had something in common - unfortunately it was illness. I will miss her dearly. Love to you Tamara and say 'hi' to Marty for me.
