It is with profound sadness and heartache that the family of Robina Ann Smith (nee Reilly) and Larry Smith announce the passing of two wonderful Parents, Grandparents and Great Grandparents on December 29, 2018 (Mom) and January 10, 2019 (Dad) at the ages of 82 and 83.They were devoted to each other for 61 wonderful years of marriage. Loving Mom and Dad to Jim (Cathy), Sharon (Michael) Koch, David (Lisa) and Greg (Jane). Caring and nurturing Grandparents to Russell (Ginger), Rebecca (Sebastian), Kevin (Vanessa) Koch, Stephanie (Eric) Bos, Andrew Koch, Derek, Jeffrey, Abigail and Reilly. Mom and Dad cherished the time they had with their Great Grandchildren Sky, Charlie and Jax. Mom was the much loved Sister to Jim (deceased), Kay (Ron) Winterbottom, Marina (John-deceased) Schenck, Margaret Rose (deceased) (Bill) Weerheim and Bob (Peggy) Reilly. Dad was a wonderful Brother to Peter (Gail) Smith and Ken (Glenna) Smith. Mom and Dad will be dearly missed by numerous nieces and nephews and all their wonderful friends who are too numerous to mention. Mom was the CEO of their home (and it truly was a home). Dad was the proud owner of Central Service Auto Repair in downtown St. Catharines for 50 years this coming March. Dad spent his career taking care of his customers automotive needs with honesty and professionalism. Larry treated his staff like family. We would like to thank Dr. Rusnak, Debbie and the Northend Shoppers Drugmart for their care and compassion during Mom’s illness and the ICU nurses and Doctors, who cared for dad, especially Mark and Lara. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, January 18th from 1-4p.m. & 6-9p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Star of the Sea Church, 34 Elgin Street, St. Catharines on Saturday, January 19th at 10a.m. Burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to Hospice Niagara or Star of the Sea Church would be appreciated by the family.
