Our family is lucky to have known Larry and to be part of the large community he looked after. My dad taught Larry history in high school, and for the decades that followed, the two of them would always enjoy chats over the counter at Central Auto. Then when it was just my mom, Larry and Dave took extra care of her, stopping at her condo to pick up her car in the morning, do the service and then drop it off at the end of the day. The Smiths treated us like family members - we are so grateful for the values of Central Auto - quality, honest and professional service.
Larry will be missed by all those who knew him and all they loyal customers of the garage.

Dave and family, our deepest condolences. We had the pleasure of knowing your Dad for over 35 years through the garage. He was a wonderful person who always treated me with the utmost kindness, even when I had silly questions. I never knew your Mom, but I always heard about the trips to the southern states. To Dave & family,
We were so sorry to hear of the loss of both your parents. Being about 40 year patrons of Central Service it was always a pleasure to meet your dad who always greeted you as a friend and a smile. Like his staff was his family his customers were always treated like close friends. Not knowing your mother we envisioned that she had similar attributes.
We will miss him.

Larry looked after my cars since the early 60's-from Welch's to St Paul and Ontario St. to Welland Ave. He was a good business man, honest and always had a smile even throughout Robina's illness. My sincere condolences to the family.Larry became a good friend and I will miss him greatly. Apologies, I am out of the country and unable to attend the visitation or the funeral mass but my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Our most heartfelt sympathy with the passing of your mom & dad. We will miss Larry, especially his caring, no nonsense service to our ever old, used,

I remember your dad and the fellows working at the autoshop. I would walk past there to get to my job at the X ray Clinic on Welland Ave.
Everyone was so friendly always saying hello. My sister used to chide me saying I was too friendly and should not say hello. However, I knew that if I was ever in trouble I could run to that gas station and your dad and the workers would be there to protect me.
He was a kind man.

My sincere condolences to the family on the loss of your parents. I knew your parents through my friend, Louanne, and remember them both fondly. Your dad was honest and kind in helping this young female car owner and your mom was equally as sweet when I ran into her at your Aunt Marina's.
