Mark is the reason I am united with my best friend, Moe the chihuahua. He was a wonderful human being. We talked a great deal about deep topics, and our own individual demons. I’m so sad that he’s gone. The world is a little less bright.
My little dog Moe is kissing away my tears as I write this. Mark is the reason he and I are together and if had any idea how much that gift has helped me... I wish I could have helped him as much.
Rest In Peace, Mark.
With deepest love and gratitude,
Lisa and Moe (formerly Beau) <3

Dear Fern, Billy and Family,
Our hearts are broken for you over the passing of your beloved son Mark. Reading all the uplifting
words written about him, he was a wonderful young man, son, brother and friend, with so many great attributes, who gave so much to so many. He will be very greatly missed.
Please know we are covering you with prayers for strength, comfort and peace at this very difficult time, and in the days to come.
In Christ's love,

Marky- Mark.. I know we had not spoken in a few years..( I met Mark through a friend over 20 years ago. Hung out off and on since then). Had many heart to heart talks and shared MANY laughs. Your kind heart and dedication to both people and animals in need was truly inspiring. I know your soul had its struggles- I cannot imagine. You are free now and in peace. Thank you for the laughs- sometimes we laughed so hard we choked. (Always doing something completely ridiculous).
I think my favourite memory would be Mark going on about a story for awhile, building it up, drawing me in, then saying "Juuuuuust jokiiiiiiiing" ...and laughing so hard. Many stupid tricks were played. Mark was extremely thoughtful- would (and has) given his last dollar to someone that "needed it more".
To Mark's family: I am deeply sorry for your loss. Please know that his good deeds, kind heart and memories of silly antics will live on and not be forgotten. While that seems like a small comfort now, it will turn into many great memories you will share later on. You are all in my thoughts.
Heather.

Our condolences to the Halliday family and friends.
Such heartbreaking news, he was such a fine young man. The world grew dim when his light went out.
Hopefully he’s enjoying the company of his Nanny & Grandad and all who went on before him. Hugz Mark

Mark will be missed dearly. He was my closest and dearest friend. The world has lost a tremendously kind and caring person. I’ll be laughing for years to come over some of the silly antics we got up too. I’ll cherish them forever. I’m so very glad my children got to meet him. All my love to Marks family.
Just joking!

To Mark's Family & Friends and all who love and will miss him always,
I never had the pleasure of meeting Mark but we spoke through Facebook & through Tails From Greece rescue page! He would post pictures of Jet and how proud he was of him and his progress! He loved him so! We also adopted a special needs dog named Turbo! He would post comments back and forth and it was easy to see what a wonderful, caring man he was! Even though I never had the chance to meet him in person, I feel the loss of this amazing human being! Rest easy Mark...you are with your beloved Jet and I am certain so many more who love and cherish you!

I wish to extend sincere condolences to all Mark's family and friends; such a tragedy but Mark left his mark in such a great way. He was so very generous and kind to all people and animals. I am missing him terribly and am so grateful for all his help with my charity rescued dogs in the past and especially for opening up his home and heart to a special needs pup named Jet (or as Mark would call him, Jetski). Tails has made a donation to CAMH in his memory. Thank you so very much Mark for being such a wonderful and kind person. You will be sorely missed by all who know you. A life far to short for such a wonderful person. <3 <3

My very sweet and funny friend Mark and I decided to play a joke on our very favorite neighbor Penny on a really windy day. We told her his hair piece flew off his head and landed on my fourth floor balcony and he had to come knock on my door to retrieve it. Meanwhile I was to have thought it was an animal. It was so so so funny. Miss Penny believed us. I miss my oh so funny treasure hunting friend. I will see you again, R.I.P. xoxoxox

First day of grade 10 at a new high school and the guy behind me was making fun of my hair. Little did I know that he would become my hairdresser at some point in the future. Mark could make fun of me and I could make fun of him and it always ended in laughter. We were friends ever since. I would take my daughter to his apartment to see all the puppies. He was there for me when my daughter passed away. I would drive down Queenston Street some days just in hopes to see him and I could honk, yell something out the window or stop and chat. Great soul, I’m sorry Mark you struggled so much. You are funny with a great attitude! I miss you.

We remember Mark as that cute innocent Ring Bearer to our Nicole's Flower Girl at Dave and Adele's wedding so many years ago. He was such a sweet person then and continued to grow into a gentle sweet man. He will always be remembered for his kindness to all. May your family seek comfort in knowing that he is not longer suffering and he has become your own special Angel in Heaven watching over all of you. Our deepest condolences.

Mark, I'm so happy I met you when I was in grade 12 and that we remained friends all the way since then. It was always such an interesting and unique experience to hang out with you and have conversations on levels that were not usually reached elsewhere. Your little spontaneous insights and jokes we're so off-the-cuff but on point at the same time that it always made me laugh. Thank you for all the work you did with the animals. Thank you for being gentle.

I knew Mark as a fellow foster parent and adopter as a member of the Tails From Greece community. His beautiful heart and dedication to dogs - especially those most in need - was second to none. Mark was a bright light and the lives made better because he touched them is impossible to measure. His legacy is beautiful and singular. My sincerest condolences to his family. He will never be forgotten and his legacy will continue to echo and inspire us all.

Markie Mark you will be missed dearly by anyone who’s life you touched. You always made me laugh, you were so caring and generous with not only your heart but anything you could give to someone else who may need it. You were always so selfless in helping both people and animals and would go without so they would have. You were a treasure, a one in a million and we will always have our memories. I’m going to miss your laugh, your crazy voice messages and your friendship more than you will know. Rest In Peace my sweet Markie until we meet again. ❤️
