Jim was a friend of my dad Ken Rowland and I have memories of them together with the "veteran gang" at the legion on a Friday afternoon...they would joke and kid with each other, telling the same old stories over and over and seeming to enjoy them more each time. Afterwards, there was fish and chips up in the hall. Good memories! Deepest sympathy to the Cairns family.
