Obituary of Arthur Evans
EVANS, ARTHUR Major C.D. - Passed away on Friday, January 20th, 2012 at his residence at the age of 73. Former husband and loving friend of Jenny. Special brother of Patricia (Arthur) and Kathleen (Ronnie). Uncle of Claire (Paul), Lisa (David), Kate (Steve) and Andrew. He will be sadly missed by his many great nieces and nephew. Arthur served with the Lincoln and Welland Regiment, #68 Royal Canadian Army Cadets and the British Military Police. Arthur worked for the Department of Corrections for many years. He was a member of St George's Masonry Lodge. Arthur was a collector of miniature cars and loved all things military. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Arrangement have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL (905) - 937-4444. A Celebration of Arthur's Life will take place at the Port Dalhousie Legion, 57 Lakeport Street on Thursday January 26th at 2p.m. Memorial donations to Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind would be appreciated. "He who has died and lives on in the hearts of others has never really died."
