Obituary of R.A. "Bob" McNaughton
Robert Adam McNaughton, 72, Dundee Scotland, died peacefully at his home in St Catharines Ontario, Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017.
Bob was born Sep. 29, 1945, in Dundee Scotland and was a retired Peel Regional Police Officer. He worked as a Machinist both in Scotland and in other countries before coming to Canada in the late 1960s and settling in Brampton Ontario. After working for Orenda Engines Robert changed careers and joined the Brampton Police department, which then became Peel Regional Police. During his time with Peel Police he had worked in Patrol, the Radio Room and before retiring had worked in the Records bureau as a Review Officer. He was also an active member of the Police Association, and served as a member of the Board of Directors for several years.
He is survived by son Ian and daughter in law Samantha of Toronto; his son Scott and daughter in law Toni of St Catharines; his grandchildren Heather Katie, Chyann, Randy, Connor, Karaleigh, and Callum; his cousin George Valentine, Dundee Scotland, and numerous cousins and close friends whom he considered to be family.
He is preceded in death by his wife Susan who passed in March 2013.
