Obituary of William "Bill the Furnace Man" Van Bussel
VAN BUSSEL, William
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William Van Bussel on October 18, 2017, in his 58th year, in a sudden and unforeseen cardiac event. Bill was born on Dec 21, 1958, in St. Catharines, Ontario where he built a happy life surrounded by many loving family members and friends. He will be remembered by most as “Bill the furnace man” as he built his successful heating and air conditioning business from a young age. He is survived by mother and father (Oma and Opa), Antonius and Hermina; children Keri, Tim and Wes; siblings Maria, Tom and Jerry. He was Uncle Bill to Nancy, Pauline, Jason, Eric and Chris. We will miss his unwavering positivity. He touched many lives with his kindness and generosity. We are extremely thankful he pursued his dream of living up north, where he built a whole community of friends around him and spent his days with activities that he loved. In accordance to Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, from 6:30-9 p.m. and Wednesday, October 25, 2017, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow visitation in the funeral home’s ceremony room at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation.
