I was very fortunate to have Mr. Jenkins as a math teacher at Lakeport Secondary School (1978-1983) and I hope he knows how much of a difference he has made in my life! A fond memory I hold close, is the true enjoyment Mr. Jenkins showed when seeing my Welsh grandfather's math solutions. He always said he wanted to meet that grandfather of mine! Mr. Jenkins, I can only hope you are 'up above' working out some crazy solution together!
My deepest sympathy to Mr. Jenkins' family.
Such a wonderful man!

Elaine and I wish to offer our deepest sympathies to Shirley,Rhys,Marci,Mark and their respective families.
My favourite image of Dave is with a glint in his eye and a smile on his face launching into a humourous anectode.
Dave was a kind and generous person and we will miss him.

David, I will miss you very much.
As my Uncle, I came to know you over many years, especially in the past several years through my visits to see you in Port Dalhousie and your visit here to Ottawa. You struck me as a great family man, who loved his wife and children. That's what a real man does, and you did it in spades. I will especially miss your sense of humour.
I will be in attendance at your funeral on Saturday and I look forward to paying my respects to you but also to celebrating your life.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Jenkins passing. I will always remember him as a tough, fair and respectful man. As a student, I will always remember his dedication to teaching and his stories of Wales. As an adult, memories are sitting in a local Port Dalhousie pub talking about our families and his upcoming trip to Wales over a pint or two. I will forever remember the upbeat sound in his voice when he said "Hello Richard".
Rhys, Lynette and family you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Mr, Jenkins. I had the pleasure of having him as a teacher at Lakeport High School. He was one of my favourites! He was very knowledgeable and such an interesting man to talk to. I frequently ran into him at various places over the years and enjoyed chatting with him when I would see him walking his dog in our neighbourhood. My deepest sympathy to his family. He made a difference in the lives of many!

Dave was a very well liked man. We had the pleasure of comeing to Canada
Many years ago staying with Rhys and Lynette. Dave showed us his stained glass
Very impressive. He also always popped in when back in Bedwas, before going to the Church House pub for a few beers. He would say Don,t tell Shirley.
Sorry we can,t be over for the service. But you will all be in our thoughts.
He was a lovely man,
Linda and Dave Hancock. ( Bedwas )

I can't remember U David without smiling. He was someone I could chew the cud with for hours on end and never tire of hearing his stories. He loved Wales and to hear any news about its people and I often thought he knew more about the country than anyone who lived there. I look back fondly on David & Shirley's many visits to Wales.
In recent years I enjoyed the telephone calls from Canada and catching up on his ever expanding family. U David was particularly interested when Lloyd became a farrier and he shared his memories of his time working as a blacksmith and made us laugh. Yes I will smile every time I think of U David. May he rest in peace knowing he's lived a full and happy life. Viv xxx

My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. I knew David as a math teacher at Lakeport. He had such patience in our calculus class, which where I was concerned, he needed it. As well, I have known he and Shirley through St. John's. They were faithful members. I always appreciated his support and encouragement. May he rest in peace and rise in eternal glory!
