On behalf of my mother, Maria DeMarco who is now living with me in Toronto, and my late father Giuseppe DeMarco, who passed away in April 2013, I would like to extend our family's condolences and deepest sympathy to the extended La Selva family.
Angelo used to stop at my father's house on Niagara Street for a haircut or a chat with my father, or to try to convince Papa to come play cards at the Associazione di Combattenti di Guerra at St. Alfred's Church. My mother, who is now 91 and blind, remembers your mother fondly, and still recalls that they worked together side by side for many years after arriving in St. Catharines in 1953.
We noticed that Mr La Selva was laid to rest in Holy Trinity Mausoleum very close to my father's crypt and my own mother's vacant crypt right beside it. I know that Papa would have been pleased to know that his friends will be never be far away. May God grant Mrs. La Selva eternal rest as she rejoins her late husband.
