Jane Johnston posted a condolence

Dear Lajla, Darlene & Shaun and your family members.
Our Condolences to each one of you as you endure this sad and difficult time in the loss of your Mom and Grandmother. We understand that the last few months have been very trying for all of you.
Those we have laughed with, cried with, learned from, leaned on and LOVED MOST will live on in our memories forever.
The weather conditions for the last week have been severe and the area is just nicely getting 'dug out'. Highways were closed (some for days) and all roads have high snow banks and dangerous corners - thus it is just not feasible to travel down to the wake or the funeral service to see you and pay our respects.
Accept our Sincere Sympathy.
Kind regards from all of us -
Harold & Jane Johnston and Pauline, David & their families
Margaret Johnston and Jim Johnston.

My husband & I were very saddened to hear of Marilyn's passing. I first got to know her when I was a teenager about 50 years ago. We especially remember her kindness to us several years ago while my brother was suffering through a serious illness. We send our most sincere condolences to you all.

Lajla, Dee and Shawn I am at a loss for words. No words can possibly express the loss of someone so dear to our family. Aunt Marilyn was an amazing woman, an inspiration to us all. I will never forget the countless hours spent with you all at the deli, and at various family occasions. Though she may no longer be here with us, the memories we have of her will stay with us always, and we have many of them to treasure. Her warm smiles, her understanding, her patience, and her love and support are something I will always remember, and forever miss. I wish I could be there with you all, but know you are in my thoughts during this difficult time. Love to you all. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. From an Irish headstone”

Having never met Marilyn I honestly wouldn't know what to say. However, having met Lajla and assuming she's a reflection of her mother, I can only assume Marilyn was an awesome person who loves and cares for others and would do anything for anyone without question. Best wishes to you and your family through this difficult time Lajla.
