I am so sorry to hear of Jeans passing. She was a wonderful caring person and I'm sure she has left you with some of the most amazing memories. I went through nursing school with Jean (and Joan) and then 35+years at Port Colborne Hospital. Jean never changed over the years in her care and compassion for her patients. She told other staff that they "need to nurse the way you want your family member to be taken care of." She was an advocate for the patients and wouldn't tolerate anything less . She was greatly respected by patients, their families and her co-workers. When things got bad she smiled and worked through...with a laugh I can still hear. She is now gone on to be a loving guardian angel for some lucky person

Dearest Dave:
I only met you once at the Christmas charity dinner at Redeemer Bible Church, when you shared your recipe for you cauliflower/asparagus soup and the secret “’thickening” agent! But, most of your conversation was of the very special love of your life, your wife Jean. I knew from your words and your expressions that this must be a very special lady indeed. I know that you and your extended family will surely miss her… may the memories of her forever sustain you.
God Bless,
Shay Damato

In this life we are only lucky a few times to meet a truly inspirational person. Jean you were one of them. Never a person to say "NO" if something needed to be done but knew the difference to being used. I will miss our times out for chicken wings..."FLATS ONLY" and the numerous events that you hosted at yours and Dave's home. Yes it was a home and that is because of you. If you look up the word Grandmother in the dictionary I am sure your picture will be the first to see. We will all miss you and will remember the good times...
Love Ron

Shelley, Lisa, Joan and family,
I was saddened to hear of Jean's passing.
I remember spending countless hours, which sometimes turned into days, when you lived on Venus Cres. Your mom always took very good care of me, when I was always there.
Joan, I can't imagine what you are going through, by losing your other half. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
It's the little things, the small, everyday occurrences that you'll remember. The laughs, the stories, the smiles. And even though it seems like you can never recover from your loss, it is these very memories that will help push the pain away and bring back the smiles.
Thinking of all of you today and the days ahead.

Dearest Jean,
You were always an angel and just right to be w/ your angel at the end. We worked for a couple of years, still can hear your laughter , never seen you mad no matter how bad were the situations. We shared the words of GOD and I felt your strong faith when I was w/ you. I still have your bookmarker, you gave me when I was diagnosed w/ Breast cancer, 16 years. You'll be sadly missed my friend. Thank you for knowing you.

Where can I start Jean, you were so wonderful to us all from the very 1st time we ever meet. You were so very generous with your love, understanding, and infectious smile to name a few. I will always remember our vacations, shopping expeditions and spending time in the nurses cabin when camping/teaching the children about God's love at Camp Bring a Friend. You accepted your disease with dignity and grace..a true inspiration and testimony to God's presence in your life. I remember what you told me towards the end .."never say I died, I moved into my mansion in the sky, and I will be dancing with the real stars". Until we are together again..I will miss you and love you forever.

My sister-in-law and friend. I will always remember your bravery and courage in fighting this terrible disease. I appreciate all your medical advice and listening ears, care and comfort and concern for myself and family. I'll miss your baking and cooking special dishes that you lovingly brought to every family gathering. You loved to shop and get a good bargain. You loved Christmas and put up a tree in every room starting Nov.1st. Your tree that was with you when you passed could have been in a "Martha Stewart" magazine. You had such pride with your appearance and your nails.makeup and hair. You were the best Grandma! You loved "Duck Dynasty" and their Christian values for family. I reread some of your e-mails and found this one that describes how you lived your life. "live simply, love generously and care deeply and speak kindly and leave the rest to God." Signing off the way you always did..."Love and Prayers Jean."

My Dearest Aunt Jean,
You are loved more than any words can convey and will be missed tremendously. Having you as my Aunt is one of the biggest blessings that has ever been sent to me. You are the most beautiful, kind, sweet, generous, selfless, brave, and gallant persons I have known. You made this world a better place and now the Heavens above are even brighter. I pray you rest easy now. I love you more...most...more than most...to infinity and beyond xo...
...And to your husband, my dear Uncle, your wonderful children and incredibly precious grandchildren, your most special sisters, and all of your loving family and friends...you are all in my heart...we will all hold treasured memories close as we say goodbye for now; but we have the peace knowing (because of the Faith that Jean has helped to teach us) that we will be blessed to one day be in the presence of her most gorgeous soul again. Hugs and love to you all xo...
