Sneath, Anna (Wenzel)
Peacefully and unexpectedly on Friday, February 7, 2003 at the Welland County General Hospital. Loving mother of John & Yvette of St. Catharines, Michael & Julie of LaGrange, Georgia, Karen of St. Anns, Jim and Beverly of Ridgeville, Anna Marie & Roger Clarke of Lake Cowichan, B.C., and Colleen of London. Beloved Grandmother of Dave, Jeff, Mike, Bonnie, Sierra, Danielle, and Jacob. Great Grandmama of Eryka, Nathan, and Austin. Predeceased by her parents Andreas & Elizabeth Wenzel, and by her brothers Karl, and Godfrey, and by her sister Rita. Survived by her brothers Andy, Gerry, and Henry, and by her sisters Betty, Hilda, Florina, and Donna. Best friend of Helen Martin of Mississauga and her bridge buddies Roma & Heloise of Niagara Falls.
For many years Ann owned and operated Effingham Valley Park, moving to the United States in 1976, returning to Fonthill in 1987 where she enjoyed her final years with family gatherings, quiet time with her cat Panda, golfing, gardening and playing bridge.
Anna is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., until Tuesday at 10:30am. A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church, 105 Welland Rd at South Pelham Rd., Fonthill at 11am. Cremation to follow. Visiting hours Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of your choice would by appreciated by the family. "Rest in peace, mom"
