Sadly, I add my sympathies to the ones already here. I remember Mrs. Sneath...(I just CAN'T think of her as "ANNE")... very clearly, even though it's been many years since I saw her. She was sssoooo much a part of MY childhood, since Karen and I were "best friends". I remember the mischief we got into when we were little, goofing around and having fun. Karen, do you remember the time we mixed together a little bit of everything your mother had in her kitchen cupboards? We made a green volcano errupt in your sink as I recall. I also seem to remember that your mother wasn't too impressed, but I think she was laughing even when she made us clean the mess up. I remember what fun we had year round, swimming all summer, tobogganing and skating in the winter, going for hikes through Mr. Emmett's fields...I was a bit nervous around the cows!! Geeze, talk about an idyllic childhood!! Ah...well....I guess we must eventually grow up and act like adults? A growing up lesson we must learn is how to say good-bye forever to the ones who gave us our lives, not only by the mere(?)fact of our births, but in the way we were shaped into the people we are today. I think our parents did a pretty good job with all of us...anybody disagree?? You are all very much a part of my happy childhood memories....
I send my condolences to you all. Cathy Savoie.

Hi Everyone, Just wanted you all to know that it was good to see you at the funeral home. Your family means so much to ours. I will never forget your mom. She opened her doors to us always and looked after me often when my own parents needed a vacation alone. She always made me feel at home as did you all. Thanks. As I write, I am recalling her voice. To me it was smokey and gravelly. It was beautiful and it is a particularly fond memory for me.
I always called effingham the "valley of the giants". Of course you were all so much taller than this kid of french and mongolian stock. It was more than that, though. You were bigger than life. You still are. The family she raised and that will remember her is a fitting tribute to her fine life.
All the best from us to you at this difficult time, Dave.

To all of Anne's family: It is difficult to put into words the sadness I feel about dear Anne's passing. She was a vital person. I have fond memories of our lives on Park Ave. She was loved.

To the Sneath Family: It is not often that we get a chance to relect back to the days of our carefree youth. But we do remember fondly the memories as children spent together on Park Avenue and the friendships that we developed. It is always difficult to realize that time changes all of us and that those friendships also change over the years. It is therefore with sadness that I have learned of the passing of your mother and will always remember her as a caring, active, loving mother, always willing to share, to smile, to comfort or to help. My thoughts are with you. Denis D. Savoie
