Obituary of William Begy

BEGY, WILLIAM Peacefully in his sleep at the Hotel Dieu Hospital on Sunday November 17, 2002 at 81 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Elinor. Loving father of the late Wendy Davis. Cherished grandfather of Tracy Smith, Shannon Fabricius and Tara McMahon. Great-grandfather of Senna Fabricius and Sydney and Hayden McMahon, and the Smith twins (on the way). Predeceased by his parents Colonel George Edward and Gladys Begy, and two brothers, George Begy and Creighton "Barney" (Eileen) Begy. Survived by his brother Robert (Dora), and sister-in-law Peggy. Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Dear friend to Zillah Prince. William was a veteran of World War II, and served on Bomber and Coastal Commands with the R.C.A.F. and Royal Air Force, for which he was awarded the Distinguised Flying Cross. Cremation. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Julia's Church, Thursday at 11:00am.
