Obituary of Katherine Anne Newman

Newman (nee Baranick), Katherine Anne Peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2002 at Hotel Dieu Hospital. Kathie 51 years of age; beloved wife of Richard for 30 years, loving mother and best friend to Kristian (Amato) Mongelluzzo and Kimberley, dear daughter of Anne and the late Michael Baranick, loving sister of Sandie (Dave) Murphy, Bob (Linda) Baranick. Will be missed by her nieces, nephews and her many friends. Kathie was a longtime employee with the City of St. Catharines working at City Hall. Kathie is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., until Monday at 10:00 a.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Panachyda will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Memorial remembrances to the Hotel Dieu Oncology would be appreciated by the family.
