Our deepest sympathy to your family, Debbie.
Mom and I remember very well the days when your grandmother, Ann Makara worked up at Kresge's. We would always stop to talk. I can even remember visiting your grandmother's house on Vine Street near Welland Avenue in St. Catharines. Debbie, I recall having met your Mom as well even though she was a little older than myself.
I'm sorry to hear of your Uncle's passing.

Dear Makara family: Please accept our deepest sympathies on the death of Uncle Mike. We shall always remember him tending to his fabulous garden and generously sharing what grew there with family, neighbours and friends. We enjoyed many a cucumber, green pepper and tomato from that garden that he cultivated so well. We also can picture him and Anne, in the kitchen together, making the most delicious perogies ever. Mike's part of the job was the potatoes and he was the best at it. I don't think that anyone before or since has ever made better ones! Their cabbage rolls were heaven on earth too. I hope that you all have the methods commited to memory so that you can continue the Makara family tradition.
We will miss seeing Uncle Mike on his daily walks around town. You never knew where you would see him! He loved his walks and it was always good to see him out and about.
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.
Sincerely, Larry & Carole-Ann Kunselman
