The adoring family of Matthew Charles Thompson sadly announce his tragic passing on July 23, 2004. As the result of an accident, Matt has left us to be with his loving grandmothers. At the exuberent age of 21, Matt has touched the lives of so many people by sharing his love and zest for life. Loving and precious son of Lewis James Thompson and Jeannette Cecile Thompson. Best friend and inseperable brother to Tamara Lynn Thompson. Beautiful step son of Rosanne Shugan and fun loving step brother to Sydney Shugan. Grandson of Bertrand J. Fortier (Fleurette). Nephew to Mike Fortier (Karen), Kim Hazell (David), Marilyn Dunford, Derry Thompson (Kathy), Bill Rattray (Julie), Lee Rattray (Elinor), Glenna Elhilali (Mostafa), Christine Thompson, Mark Thompson (Rose). Matthew will be forever missed by many cousins, friends and the thousands of lives he has touched. Family and friends are invited to share the celebration of Matt's life at George Darte Funeral Home on Monday July 26 from 7 - 9, Tuesday 2 - 4, and 7 - 9. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at Grantham United Church. In lieu of flowers donations to the Habitat for Humanity Niagara would be appreciated .
