Obituary of Giuseppe Colantoni

Colantoni, Giuseppe (Joe) After a long battle with lung disease, Sunday, June 4, 2006 at St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS. Joe Colantoni in his 75th year. Loving husband of the late Maria, dear father of Renato, Remo and Mirella, Rita all of St. Catharines, dear nonno of Elizabeth Marie and Brandon Joseph, Jack Nello, brother of Carina and Gabriele Delle Monache, son of the late Domenico and Maria Colantoni, son-in-law of the late Nicola and Elena Basilavecchia, brother-in-law of Teresa and Domenic Pavone all of St. Catharines. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Cousin of Elfina and Antonio Marrone. Joe was a member of St. Alfred's Church, founding member of Club Roma and their Seniors Club, worked with the City of St. Catharines as labourer and truck driver for 29 years. Joe is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. until Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 11 a.m. with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Visiting Hours Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers for Joe will be celebrated in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Memorial Remembrance to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
