Peacefully with her family at her side at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS on Sunday April 30, 2006 in her 77th year. She joins her beloved husband John (1998), loving mother of Peter and Irene, Barbara and Chris Siegfried, Paul, dear Nanny of Daina, Christopher, Zachary, Marlena, Maxwell, Kay, Roxanne, Jennifer and Great Nanny of James, Jacob, Jonathan and Caroline. Dear sister of Raymond and Francine, Joan and Dave, John and Anne, predeceased by her brother Dante and her sister Lorraine. Mrs. Kolbuc was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She was an accomplished organist for over 50 years, playing at the church for 30 years. Anita owned and operated a beauty salon with her husband John for many years. She was executive director with the Folk Arts Council and Multicultural Centre during the golden era of multiculturalism.
Mrs. Kolbuc is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. until Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10 a.m. with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting Hours Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers for Anita will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. Memorial Remembrances to the Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
