Janet and Family....so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He could certainly brighten ones day with his many jokes. We always enjoyed meeting him out in public after his retirement as he always had a good story to tell and always remembered our names. Working with him was also was very enjoyable and full of laughter. He is now in the "big firehouse" and just waiting to be of help. He will be missed.
Our sincere sympathy......Bernie & Gary

Janet,
We are so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I knew Dave through the fire buffs. Thanks to Dave's efforts, the fire buffs are now providing a very valued service to the firefighters and emergency services of Niagara. Dave used to send emails to me that always made me chuckle! He was a good man and we'll all miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Mrs.Battersby:
I send my condolence to you and your family. I will always remember Mr. Battersby as a teacher with the cowboy boots and always saying to us "In a cool, calm and collected fashion way" Mr. Battersby was a great teacher, he taught me at St. Thomas and at St. Alfred's. He was a teacher that was a remodel for me growing up. Always inspired me to be me and proud of who I am. He will be miss and never forgotten. May God be with you and your family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the members of the Battersby/Paris family during this difficult time. Although it has been many years since we saw our 'Eastern Cousin' we fondly remember his humour and kindness. Love, Pam, Doug & Peter (Aldergrove, B.C.)
The family is also in the prayers and thoughts of David's Auntie Elsie and Uncle Art in Calgary who were saddened to hear of his passing.
