Obituary of Salvatore (Sam) Chiaramonte

Chiaramonte, Salvatore (Sam) - After a courageous battle, on February 10, 2006 with his loving family by his side at home in his 77th year. Devoted husband to Giuseppina for almost 50 years. Fondly remembered by his children Ross (Carrie), Joe (Nancy), Rose Turner (Tom) and Antonina. Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Ross Jr, Jessica, Thomas, Celeste, Daniel and Tara. Survived by his brother John (Nardina) and sisters Giovanna D'Alberti and Maria Avarino. Also survived by his mother-in-law Antonina DiPietro and many nieces and nephews and family members in Italy . Predeceased by his parents Rosa and Rosario and father-in-law Giuseppe DiPietro. Mr. Chiaramonte will be resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. until Wednesday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church at 11am on Wednesday. Rite of Committal will take place at Fairview Mausoluem, 4764 Portage Rd. Niagara Falls. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers for Mr. Chiaramonte will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 8pm. Memorial remembrances may be made to the Rankin Cancer Run for Niagara or the charity of choice.
