Dear Gary, Greg, Nicole, Carter and Brian,
I'm so saddened by the news of your mother's passing. She was a sweetheart whose family was her pride and joy. You were all fortunate to have been blessed with such a caring parent.
I'll remember her each day at Mass for the next year, and pray for healing of the hearts who mourn her. I'm sure she leaves you all with a wealth of treasured memories. She was one vibrant lady.
Love to you all.

Dear Gary, Greg, Nicole, Carter and Brian,
Last evening, Joan informed me of the passing of your dear mother, Rochelle.
As Carol, Joan and I discovered with the death of our mother, Doris, followed by our father, Bruce, thirteen years later, the passing of a parent is a milestone within the span of one's earthly existence.
It is a time to reflect upon the inevitable and, perhaps (if you were not raised by our father), the hereafter.
It is also a time to take solace within your circle of family and caring friends and it is in this spirit that I extend the sincere condolences of the McKinnon Family.
Paul, Carol (Egan) and Joan (Bishop) McKinnon

Dear Thorne Family:
Timely message - spent the day making "snowball cookies" with my 11 year old daughter Katie. This is a recipe Rochelle gave me years ago, I remember going over to Princess St. as a young child and revelling in the sublime taste of your mother's baking. Today Katie asked me where I had this recipe written down so she and my son Alex would always know how to make these, - How perfect.
I then started to go through my recipe card index and realized that so many of my memories about your mom revolve around food.
I will miss Rochelle, she was such an intricate part of my childhood. Mom, of course, dragged me everywhere she went, and a lot of that was to Princess. After mom was gone, Rochelle was always a presence at Dad's - he was not by any means always welcoming, but I know in my heart that he always appreciated the company, - just had to be a grouch
Rochelle and I actually forged our strongest bond after mom passed away. She acted as a surrogate mother to me in '88 helping me plan my wedding, and I must say, it meant so much to me. I do have the most amazing picture of Rochelle very late in the evening of our wedding. We were all exhausted, but Rochelle looked like she was having so much fun, arms in the air.
