Obituary of Constance Yvette Beaulne

Beaulne, Constance (n©e Gravelle) - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Constance Beaulne, lovingly known as Connie to friends and Mme Beaulne by former students. Connie, in her 73rd year, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 17, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Adored and loved by her children, Ronald Beaulne (Brenda), H©l¨ne Mogyorodi, France Fitzsimmons (Robert), Monique Beaulne and Patrick Beaulne (Lisa). Cherished Grand-maman to Sylvie, Philippe, Adam, Samuel, Sara Jane, Alexis, Elizabeth and Benjamin. Predeceased by her parents Calixte and Marie Gravelle, her brother Larry and her sister Carm Boudreau. Connie will be sadly missed by brothers Moe, Gibby, Ron and Denis as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Mom was taken from us too early; she is our hero and guiding light and this loss has been devastating. Connie retired from teaching after more than 35 years and she was most proud when she taught students to reach their highest potential. She taught and served as the Vice-Principal at ‰cole Immacul©e-Conception, taught Core French and Special Education. Connie was a member of the Board of Directors for the St. Catharines branch of the Caisse Populaire, served as French trustee for the Lincoln County Separate School Board, was a committee member for The Ontario Hydro Commission, a representative of La R©sidence des Ain©s and a member of Les Filles D†™Isabelle. Connie also acted as a court interpreter in her retirement years. Constance is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street until Friday at 11am. Funeral liturgy will be held at Eglise Immacul©e Conception, Garnet Street at 11am. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Thursday at 3pm. We wish to thank all those who have been supportive in Connie†™s desire to celebrate her end of life with dignity in her own home. Special thanks go to Connie†™s dear friend, C©cile Lucas, who was with Mom until the end, Dr. Chris Lynett, Dr. Sandra Hartman and nurse Nancy. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated.
