Obituary of Harvey Connon
Connon, Harvey James - Passed away peacefully at Versa Care Centre on January 2, 2007 in his 94th year. A dearly loved husband and best friend for 58 years to Anne (nee Oneschuk). Dear Uncle to Robert and his family of Pickering, Darlene Schincariol (Andy) and family of Toronto and several nieces and nephews. Dear broher-in-law to Marilyn Oneschuk of Hamilton and her family and Anne Oneschuk of St. Catharines and her family. Predeceased by his brothers Robert, John and twin Edward and sisters Pearl and Laura Nacca. Mr. Connon worked at the Canada Division of the New York Central Railway; first as a fireman then as an engineer, and finally retiring in 1974 after 32 years of service. He was a kind and gentle man who will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. To know him was to love him! Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Versa Care for their love and care for Harvey. Also to Dr. and Mrs. Luce for their care and compassion over the many years.
Mr. Connon is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street until 12:45pm on Saturday. A celebration of Harvey's life will be held in the George Darte Funeral Chapel at 1pm. Visiting hours are 11-1pm on Saturday. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Versa Care Residents Council or Charity of One's Choice in Harvey's honour.
