Obituary of Gerald Cressman

Cressman, Gerald †œJerry†� †" On Sunday December 31, 2006 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, in his 83rd year with his loving family by his side. Loving husband to Ruth for over 56 years. Beloved dad to Greg (Nancy), Patricia Rudd (Rob) of Guelph and Colleen Mc Donald (Warren) of St. Catharines. Cherished Umpa to Jennifer Aube (Simon) of Welland, Melissa Cressman of St. Catharines, Angela Rudd of Guelph, Jerry Rudd of Guelph, Keith Mc Donald of St. Catharines, David Rudd of Guelph, Ian McDonald of Vancouver and Anne Mc Donald of St. Catharines and 5 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother Elwood (Lorna), sister Reta Davis of Vancouver, sisters-in-law Ethel of Thorold, Deanne of Listowell and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Kathryn (1954), brothers Herbert, Robert, sister Doris and brother-in-law Jim Davis. Jerry was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Navy and served overseas during WWII. Mr. Cressman is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. until 10:30am on Wednesday. A celebration of Jerry†™s life will be held at 11am at Carleton United Church, 527 Carlton Street. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Cremation will follow the church service. As an expression of sympathy, memorial remembrances may be made to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Charity of One†™s Choice in Jerry†™s honour.
