Dear Nancy, Pat & families:
I was saddened to learn of the passing of your Dad and sincerely offer you my heartfelt condolence at this time.
I regret that, because of circumstances, I am unable to be in St. Catharines to see and support you in person.
I've been thinking about your Dad and I can still see him at the house on Kingsway Crescent, sitting in the living room and enjoying his pipe, as Nancy and I are perched in front of the picture window hacking away at "Manhattan Beach" and other gems from the Collegiate band's repertoire! He was such a gentleman...he stayed and listened to our practicing and never uttered a discouraging word.
Please be assured of my thoughtful remembrance and prayerful support for you during the coming days.
