Obituary of David Glenn Moore Jr.

David Moore Jr. 1961- 2008 After a long and very courageous battle with cancer, David Moore Jr. passed away in St. Catharines April 28, 2008, in his 48th year. David is survived by daughters Chelsey, U of W, London, and Alexandra, St. Francis High, St. Catharines, and their mother Lida, and by dearest best friend and fianc�©e, Tricia Rancourt; mother Myrna Cullip (Michael) of Ridgeway, father David (Suzanne), brother Brady and sister Haley of Annan; brother Shadoe (Holly), nephew James Calgary, twin sister Darlene (Dan), Innisfil, nephew Joshua, Fredericton, sister Cairn (Jeff), niece Cyra and nephew Tamir Winnipeg, brother Barry who preceded David in 1985, and life long friend Kevin (Denise) Boyko. David was a devoted father to Chelsey and Alexandra. He spent his entire working career in the steel industry, where he was highly regarded. He was a very passionate hockey player and golfer, and undoubtedly the greatest Habs fan in the history of the team. His family and many friends will remember him for his generosity, and wonderful sense of humour, which he somehow maintained to the end. David was dearly loved by his family, and many friends, and will live on in their memories. Family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Thursday, May 1, from 7-9 p.m., and on Friday, from 2-4 p.m. and 7- 9 p.m. At David's request, there will be a "Celebration of David's Dash" Saturday, May 3, 2008, at The Moose and Goose located at 54 Front Street South, Thorold, 5 to 9 p.m. Casual dress/Habs attire strongly encouraged. In lieu of flowers, an Education Trust Fund has been set up for Chelsey and Alexandra. Donations may be made at the George Darte Funeral Home 905-937-4444, payable to Cairn Moore (Trustee).
