Mark...you will be so missed. We laughed too much over the last year. Our trip to the Leafs game will be forever burned in my mind...I just wish you knew where the restaurant was before we walked an hour around looking for it. Great memories that only you could create.
The visit in the hospital was apprectiated...only you would show up within 10 minutes of my call.
My phone won't ring as often anymore...I won't get the crazy messages from you or the text messages. We sometimes acted like teenagers, but it was good.
Who can find a good friend? I did and I hope to pass along that friendship to others. Well done my fried.
To Sharon, Daniel and Jordan,
My heart breaks for you. My sincere prayers will be there for you every time I see a red pick up truck on the road. That's my promise to you. May my loving and all sufficient heavenly father meet every need.
Brandon
P.S. I was so glad to hear you kissed John Garner more than me...relieved:-)

Our hearts are broken, we will miss Mark. He is an incredible man that uplifted us with a smile or witty comment every time we saw each other. Even running in to him by chance, although he was probably busy or on the way to somewhere he would always take the time to stop and chat. He deeply loved his wife and sons and it showed in his conversations, an example for other men to follow. Last we ran into Mark was his past summer in Port Dalhousie taking Daniel for a bike ride on a beautiful summer Sunday afternoon. Our prayers are with you Sharon, Jordan and Daniel.
With love, Christopher, Toni, Rachel & Michael Bessette

Sharon, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the children at this difficult time. I remember sharing my very first small group with you at Pam & Zeke's house; falling in love with the Lord together; and watching you fall in love with Mark. I was so happy for you that you found such a terrific guy. I'm sure you are comforted by the thought of seeing Mark again in Heaven and knowing he's with Jesus now.

While most of our contact with Mark was back in Parkway Youth Group and Ontario Bible College days, his humour and zeal for life left an indelible impression on us that we fondly remember to this day. It was great to catch up with him at Colin McCartney's surprise party a few years ago. The only thing that changed was his hair...he was still the same old Mark, full of enthusiasm and his keen interest in our lives since the good ol'days. Its times like this that we thank our Saviour for his promise to raise us up on the last day so we can all worship Him together at his throne where every tear will be wiped away, and joy will be all we know.

Please accept our deepest condolences. I became a friend of Mark's over the last few years, as Jordan played soccer with our son, Joshua. I remember when Mark and I talked, that his family and Kenya were special to him. Most importantly, he had a relationship with Jesus Christ, and I know he's in God's presence, and we'll see him again. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jack and Donna,
I want to express my sincere condolences in the passing of Mark. As we have lost touch, I remember Mark and Richard planning your surprise 25th wedding anniversary party and Mark just heading off to school to become a minister. He was a special guy. I see he has done wonderful work in God's name. You must be proud.

I was very disappointed to find out that Mark was unable to go with us on our camping trip this year (he was in Kenya - bigger and better things -- 'nuff said). From the very first time Mark came with us, he was considered as family and I personally had looked forward to him coming each and every time. He will be missed on our future adventures and will be remembered with affection. Although I'll not see that bright grin for a while, the warmth and welcome it gave me has left it's lasting mark on my life. Mark will be missed.

Our hearts are heavy as we remember you, Sharon, and your family in prayer. We grew to love and respect Mark when he did such an excellent job of renovating our main floor to make it possible to remain in our own home as long as possible. He was a joy to have in our home as he worked. We will never forget his humour. His compassion was very evident as he gave us suggestions to make things more convenient. I don't think a day that goes by that we don't think of him and his craftsmanship - particularly when we step into the walk-in shower and the heated tile floor.
May you feel the compassion and caring of our faithful Heavenly Father who knows your every need, and will continue to sustain you through this time of deepest sorrow. Psalms 55:22 "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you."

It was an honour and privilege to have known Mark. He loved his "monk" so much and it was such a joy having him pick up Daniel from daycare - he was always full of smiles and greeted Daniel with "Hello Son" everytime he picked him up. We had wonderful conversations about Kenya and he was so looking forward to taking his family back with him next year. Often Mark would stand in our garden and have great talks with Richard and I offering his services to bring us mulch for next year or giving us renovation tips.... You will be missed my many. Rest in the arms of the Lord.
All our love

Mark was a face we got used to seeing here everyday. He always had a great sense of humor and could make you laugh at life even if you thought you were having the worst day ever. It will be hard for us all to not see his smiling face everyday. We thought of him as part of our little family here at the depot. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones today and always. Please accept our condolences with great honour of knowing what a kind and wonderful man that Mark was.
