Obituary of Carl Felix Dombek
DOMBEK CARL F. On Friday October 5, 2007 at the St Catharines General Hospital at 58 years of age. Beloved husband and best friend of Margaret. Dear brother of Frank (Dora) Dombek and Wanda and the late Arthur Gruszewski. Dear son in law of Alison and the late Douglas Black and brother in law of Gerald (Florence) Black, Ann Black, Aileen (Jim) Lyons. Predeceased by his parents Felix and Mary Dombek and his uncle Antoni Dombek. Carl will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and the many friends who have become family.
Following his graduation from Brock in 1971, Carl completed a Law Degree at Dalhousie University. After his call to the Bar, further graduate studies at Queen†™s University and a period in private practice, he joined the Ontario Civil Service in 1977. Carl held numerous positions as senior government lawyer for several ministries and tribunals. Carl served as president of CCAT and throughout his career published several legal articles.
Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St on Wednesday from 7-9pm. A service to celebrate Carl's life will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 12 noon. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
