Obituary of Helen McBennett
McBENNETT, Helen (Brennan) (Sept. 21, 1935 to July 2, 2009) - It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, Gran and wife, Helen. Best friend and mom to Craig (Tracy) and most loving mother to Lynsey (David). Devoted wife for 53 years to James. Cherished Gran to her 3 little B's Brennan, Bryer and Belle, whom she enjoyed every moment with. A little of Gran lives on in their minds and in their hearts forever. Helen was a long time employee of K-Mart where she made so many wonderful friends. Helen was a trusted confidant to everyone who had a special place in her life. Always there to listen and guide and constantly put the needs of others before her own. She was the most selfless woman any of us have known. We are all so fortunate to have been a part of her life. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. As per Helen's wishes there will be no visitation. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at Star of the Sea Church, 34 Elgin Street, Port Dalhousie on Monday, July 6th, 2009 at 11a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to McMaster Children's Hospital. †œWe love you mom, you made us proud†.
