How precious it has been to reconnect online with Helen, our mother's first cousin, these last few months. Her wit, intelligence, humor, humanity and incredible memory shone through her postings. The stories she recounted about her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins have enriched our family folklore. She brought them to life so vividly for us, we seem to have been there in person. We are both grateful to have had this special time. Our love and condolences to all of the family in Canada and Scotland.

You are the most precious wife, mother and gran and we are so blessed to be loved by you. We will cherish all of the wonderful moments we shared together and and all the things you taught us. "If you are happy, I'm happy" - that is what you said to us so many times. In Bryer's words "if I could find a wishing star, I'd wish my gran back to me"; that is how each of us feel. We know you are watching over us just as you have done our whole lives. We miss you so very much but the love you shared with us will shine through in us forever!

Mum,
No words can describe what you meant to me. We were best buddies and I am so proud to be your son. A very large part of me died with you this week, but your strength and positive attitude will get me through the hard time ahead. Thank you for being my mother and also my best friend. Love Craig and Tracy.

Dear Jimmy, Lynsey, David, Brennan, Bryer, Belle, Craig & Tracy,
We were all shocked and saddened to hear about your sudden loss, especially since I had spoken to Helen just a week before her death. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to reconnect with her after many years, and to catch up on family news. She was so proud of you all. We have fond memories of Helen's kindness, generosity and her infectious sense of humour. You can take comfort in the knowledge that she was loved by everyone who knew her. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Betty (Collins), Karen, Tracy, Samantha & Danielle

With our deepest sympathy to Jimmy Craig Lynsey and family Helen is surely with the angels as she was such a kind soul. She always treated our family with love and respect and her sense of humor was unforgettable. I still remember the night she got up and sang Oh Danny Boy with Frank and said they were the greatest. We loved her dearly and feel very honored to have shared a small part of her life. She will be dearly missed and in our hearts forever love Frank and Maryann
