Having just returned from out of the country, it came is a great shock to hear of Donna's death. I had many times enjoyed playing bridge with Donna, or next to her talking, while walking or cycling. We both shared a love of travel and activity. She had a wonderful sense of humour and of family. She spoke so fondly of her children and grandchildren. I'll miss her. May fond memories help you through this difficult time. My condolences to all.

Donna and I were in an investment group and book group. She was a very sincere and helpful person who gave me good advice about selling my home. Her death came as a shock my condolences to the family.

To the Flemming family: It was with great shock I heard of Donna's death- she was always such an energetic person. I knew her in Germany when we were teaching there from 1962-1964. We travelled together several times but my most vivid memory is when we drove ( in Donna's small car) to Austria. It was our first Christmas in Europe but our anticipation turned to terror as the roads were horrific and then the pass was closed. Donna's sense of humour helped us through the ordeal and we did eventually get to St. Anton. I hope you have many happy memories of your lives together. Sincerely, Elaine Woods.

I am still in shock that your mother is gone. Donna was my buddy in so many adventures and misadventures. We would laugh often at all the "bad" things we got away with while we were teaching in Germany, some of which I daren't mention here for fear of being arrested, and at 4 Wing reunions. I'll treasure the memories of our last trip together to Charlottetown and Isles de la Madeleine. The last number of years have been hard for her but she always tried to be positive when I spoke with her on the phone. I do want to mention how proud she was of each of you and of her grandchildren. She was content knowing you were all happily settled in your new families. I'm truly sorry I can't be present at Donna's funeral. I will keep a silence on Saturday at 11 and be there in spirit. Love to all of you, Mary Hodder Elderkin
