Obituary of Edward John Pintwala

PINTWALA, Edward John- Passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, January 15, 2009, in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Elaine (nee Burgess). Loving father of Kenneth, Deborah (Paul) Morgan, Cathy, Jonathan and step-father of Linda Johnson and Audrey Ranni; Louis, Susan, Larry and Robbie Tosato. Very loved grandfather of Jonathan and Alexis; Edward Jr., Justin, Robert (and their mother Claudette).Caring great grandfather of Holden. Dear brother of Nellie Kaczmarski. Edward was predeceased by his wife Gloria (nee Roberts) [1969] and by his brother Chester [1984]. Edward (age 12) with his family arrived from Poland and lived in Hamilton. He founded Pinty's Poultry in 1943, J & P Poultry Distributors in 1960 which then became Pinty's Premium Foods in 1983 (currently known as Pinty's Delicious Foods Inc.) Edward had a positive attitude which over came many obstacles in his life, which included the loss of his vision in the year 2000. Edward will be lovingly missed by his family and friends. Edward's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Monday, January 19, 2009 from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m. -9 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, 3 Lyman St./Church St., on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at 1:00 p.m., followed by the Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. If desired, expressions of sympathy may be made to the C.N.I.B.
