We saw Kathryn briefly at this past summer's GBSS reunion and she was her usual smiling, delightfully friendly self. How good to see her after so many years! We had no idea she was ill and wish now that we had taken more time to chat. Our very sincere sympathy to the family. We have many wonderful memories of growing up with the Mizen's as our neighbours and friends.

Dear Mary,
My deepest sympathies to you and your family on the passing of your dear sister. Although I had not met her, I know that you had many great travel adventures with Kathryn and those memories will last forever -- and, in time, will provide you with comfort and warmth.

I have wonderful memories of Kathy when I went to work ISP St. Catharines in 1981 - her lovely smile, her beautiful long hair and her willingness to help. I worked with Kathy until 1997 when ISP "right-sized" and I needed to move to another department.
We did stay in touch, although sporadically, and she bought impatients through my husband Paul to raise funds for Chorus Niagara.
Kathy has been on my mind for the past few weeks but I just heard last Thursday that she was in Hospice. I pray that she did not suffer and is now at peace.
Paul and I send our sincere sympathy on the loss of your sister and share the loss of a wonderful person.
Sincerely, Gail Price

My thoughts and prayers go out to Kathryn's family and friends at this time of great loss. Kathryn and I first met when she came to St. Catharines and we worked together for 20 years. We shared many memorable times together and I will treasure her friendship forever. She was a wonderful person and she will be missed by so many. These thoughts are coming from South Carolina as Len and I are on vacation and unfortunately will not be able to be with you at this time but you are in our thoughts.

To All of Katie's Family:
I am still in a state of shock, as I am sure all of you are. My condolences to all of you.
Katie was a very special friend to me. Although we did not get together often, but it didn't matter, a visit by phone or by email felt like we had just visited hours before. I have known her for over 17 years and I will remember her laugh, the way her face lit up when she talked about her 'kitties', the latest project she was working on, the way she treasured her family and friends. I feel I know all of you, although I have not been able to meet you all in person. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Cheers Katie, will catch up later.
Love Cathy

Dear Mary and family - I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your sister after such a short illness. With the death of my mom so fresh in my heart I know the sadness you are feeling. Trust that through the tears will come many moments of remembering happy times and her love. Death and cancer can never take love away from any of us. You are in my thoughts and I pray that God will give you the strength that you will need over the next few days, and comfort you in the days to come. With sincere sympathies, Monica Richardson.

I was very sorry to hear about Kathryn's illness and I was very sad to learn of her passing on Saturday.
I had wanted to go and see her but I caught the flu and wasn't able to visit her before her passing.
I worked with Kathy for over 30 years and she in fact was the one to train me on pensions many years ago. We became friends.
Kathy had a great sense of humour and a beautiful smile. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and she was always ready to help you if you needed it.
My condolences to her family and please know that she will be missed.
Sincerely,
Sheila Servos
