Obituary of Florence Audrey Rows
ROWS, Florence "Audrey" (nee MacCormack)
Peacefully, at home with her family at her bedside on Tuesday November 17th, 2009, in her 65th year. Audrey is survived by her loving husband Vernon and their children David (Catherine Ramsay) of London, Mary (Mark Inneo) of Toronto and John of St. Catharines, and grandson Stefano Inneo. She is also survived by her sister Agnes (Tod) Stewart of Vancouver and brother Philip MacCormack of Port Moody. Audrey was the daughter of Daniel and Catherine MacCormack of Cleveland, Cape Breton, N.S. She was a graduate of St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in North Sydney, N.S. and her career included nursing positions at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Linhaven Nursing Home and the Victorian Order of Nurses. She was a founding member of Hospice Niagara. Her warm smile, kind spirit and gentle touch will be sadly missed. The family would like to thank Audrey's long time friends, relatives, her church community, doctors, nurses and caregivers for their support throughout her illness. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, on Friday November 20th, from 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, 230 Lake Street, St. Catharines, on Saturday November 21st, at 1:00 pm. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Wellspring Niagara or the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton, ON, would be appreciated by the family.
