Obituary of Alyson Mary Brodeur
Brodeur, Alyson Mary MD: After her long and courageous battle with an illness, Alyson passed away on Wednesday October 14, 2009 in Toronto. Beloved wife of Michael Cook for more than 4 years. Cherished daughter of Victor Brodeur, and Lesly and Phil Markham. Loving sister of Julie (Mike) Accursi, and Dave Brodeur. Alyson will be sadly missed by her grandma Mary Dunn and her husband Harold Parmenter. Her parents in law John and Elaine Cook, sister in law Angela (Simon) Westfall. She is survived by her aunts and uncles, Adrienne (Mac) Hickox, Peter (Julia) Dunn, Jeff (Joan) Dunn, Suzanne (Sven) Sheen, Pat Brodeur and Tom (Kathi) Brodeur. She was the best auntie to her loving nieces Abigail, and Isabella, and nephews Carter, and Oliver. She adored her dogs Roxi and Penny, and they will miss her dearly. Alyson will be fondly remembered by many cousins, business colleagues, and friends, especially Heather, Marianne, Lisa, Stacey, Sandi, Bobbi, and Sandra. Alyson was a palliative care doctor at the Queensway Carleton Hospital & the Elisabeth Bruy�¨re Hospital, in Ottawa for the past 5 years and has touched and helped many people in her time there.
Alyson is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. Visitations will be held on Monday October 19, 2009, from 7 - 9 p.m. A private family service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances can be made to McMaster University Medical Centre.
