Obituary of Mary Lasowski
It is with great love and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving and devoted mother, Mary Lasowski on Friday, December 27th 2024 at the age of 101 with family at her side. Mary is now reunited with her beloved husband, Jozef, daughter Christina and grandson, Kenny. She will be forever missed by her loving children Liz (John) and Frank (Rosanne); grandchildren Tom (Natalie), Jennifer (Karen), Ashlee, Frances, Joseph (Laura), Olivia, Jo-Anne (Mike), Abeline, Andrea and many great-grandchildren Heidi, Charlee, Oaklyn, Thomas, Violet, Hope, Liam, Brandon, Kendra, Devon (Natalie), Juliana, Georgia, Cruz, Rebecca and Amy.
Mary had a strong commitment to the Polish community and was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the Rosary Society and the choir for over 50 years. She was caring, strong and full of energy. Her desire to be independent, led her to obtain her driver's license when she was already in her 50s, which allowed her to chauffeur her friends and often visit the sick from her Parish. She enjoyed family gatherings with traditional Polish meals, loved dancing and playing cards. Mary spent many hours in her garden and was known in the neighbourhood as the ‘Flower Lady’. She will be remembered for many things, especially her smile, laughter and sense of humour.
Sincere thanks and appreciation to all the staff on C2, Doctor Arvinte and the palliative team at Heidehof for the dedicated care, support and love. We are grateful for their kindness and compassion.
