Obituary of Patricia Ann Marotta

Patricia Ann Marotta (nee Taricone), age 84, of St. Catharines, Ontario passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank, with whom she shared a life filled with devotion and cherished memories. Together, they raised four children: Chris, Tim (Margaret), Greg (Chantel), and Anthony (Crystal). Patricia was also the proud grandmother of Kyra, Jack, Priscilla, Charlotte, and Parker, who brought immense joy to her life.

Born and raised in Rochester, New York by Anna and Louis, Pat left to attend Assumption University in Windsor, Ontario where she met Frank. After a brief career as a school teacher in Rochester and Toronto, Patricia settled in as a dedicated stay-at-home mother, pouring her heart into creating a warm and loving home for her family. She had a passion for crafting and found great fulfillment in expressing her creativity through her projects. Her talents were admired by many and reflected her thoughtful nature.

Patricia valued the company of others and was blessed with many friends whose companionship she deeply treasured. She maintained close bonds with her extended family, fostering connections that brought comfort and happiness to all who knew her.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. The family will welcome guests for a time of visitation on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  A funeral Mass will be held at St. Alfred’s Church in St. Catharines on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. Interment at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery will follow.
