Obituary of Vincent Charles Peters

PETERS, Vincent Charles - Passed away on Tuesday, December 25th, 2012 at the Hotel Dieu- Shaver Hospital at the age of 94. Loving husband of E. Carmen for 63 years. Cherished father of Teri Peters and James (Deborah) Peters. Loving Grandpa of Sherry (Mark) Smith, Michael Peters and Jason Peters. Dear brother of Julie Thrasher, Sylvia (Bob) Furneaux, Evelyn Porn and James (Diane) Peters. He is survived by his sisters in law Mary Fast and Charlotte Peters. Vincent is predeceased by his parents Sylvester and Catherine Peters, his sisters Beatrice, Rita, Viola and his brothers Steve, John, Francis, Leo, Gus and Ernie. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Vincent was a past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus, was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus as well as a member of St. Julia Church. He was employed by Ontario Hydro for 34 years until his retirement in 1980. Vincent was also a Union Steward for Ontario Hydro. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Friday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday at 10a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to Heart Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
