Obituary of Dorothy Jean Heculuck
Heculuck, Dorothy Jean “Jeannie” (nee Abbey), age 79 years, of St. Catharines, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024, with family at her side. Survived by her husband of 57 years, John Andrew Heculuck and children Daniel, Donna, and David. Predeceased by her parents John and Isabel Abbey, and brother John Abbey Jr..
Jeannie is a St. Catharines life-long resident and attended Grantham High School before working her career at General Motors and retiring in 2000. She adored her family and spent many summers with us at her happy place at Cedar Valley Park in Lindsay, Ontario. She tolerated, happily, our family fishing and hunting adventures and loved to cheer us on in all our sports, especially hockey, ringette, baseball, and dance. We are grateful for our time with her and have faith that we will be rejoined in eternity with our Father in Heaven. Thank you to the team of doctors and nurses at Niagara Health St. Catharines.
Arrangements by George Darte Funeral Home St. Catharines. Visiting on Monday, November 11, 11:00 am. -1:00 pm. with service at 1:00 pm. followed by a short reception. I If so desired, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Jeannie's memory would be appreciated by her family.
